About Peter

I was born in Brooklyn New York, in an area called Bedford Stuyvescent.  Bedford Stuyvescent was considered ghetto slums back then.  The homes in that area were and today are quite beautiful.  Predominantly brownstone row houses that go for over two million today.  My parents paid 5,000 for one in the early 1950's.  At 3 my parents moved to East Flatbush that is now called today Prospect Lefferts gardens.  This limestone row house cost 25,000 in 1963, that was recently sold for 1,700,000.

I moved to Kerhonkson 35 years ago.   Prior to real estate, I was a teacher for 32 years.  I am married and have 4 daughters and 2 grandchildren.  I enjoy working with plants.  Perhaps the hardest part of living in Kerhonkson are the winters.  Although the winters in the Catskill mountains are getting milder, it is still challenging.

I live in an eyebrow colonial that was built in the 1850's.  The house was once part of a larger farm that encompassed 500 acres.  My parents bought the house for approximately 4,700 1963 dollars.   Due to its age, the house is still a challenge to upkeep.  The best part of living in Kerhonkson is the rural character of the area.

It is readily apparent that I realized the value of real estate through my parents.  My only mistake was that I had failed to invested sooner.

I share my story with you in the hopes that you will realize the importance of investing in real estate at earlier rather than later.

I have an extensive knowledge of homes from colonial, to mid century modern, to contemporary.

Besides being a chemistry teacher, I am also a handyman.  I learned being a handyman from my father, and I learned the value of real estate from my mother.

I am honored to be your realtor.
